Lisette, the founder of the firm, became a lawyer after more than 18 years working as a paralegal. She obtained her law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, received her undergraduate degree from National Louis University in Wheeling, and earned her Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from Renton Technical College.

During law school, Lisette was vice president of The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Association and worked on housing discrimination cases as a senior law student at The John Marshall Fair Housing Legal Clinic. There she handled her own caseload utilizing her Illinois Supreme Court 711 license.  Lisette also worked at the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in law school and processed order of protection cases.  She conducted intakes, drafted Emergency Petitions for Orders of Protection as well as their accompanying affidavits and participated in emergency hearings for orders of protection.

​Prior to attending law school, Lisette worked as a family law paralegal where she independently prepared pleadings, prepared for depositions, created documents and contracts for client/attorney agreements, composed letters and oversaw the flow of phone calls, e-mail, and miscellaneous other paperwork.  Lisette is very experienced at handling large and extensive discovery projects and has participated in a number of hearings and trials.

Lisette is also a proud Board Member of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois, Cook County Bar Association, and Chicago Bar Foundation.
